Sister for Sister Housing Network, Inc is a 501c3 tax exempt nonprofit organization which operates Kim’s House - a substance abuse recovery home located in Charlotte, NC.
Residents at Kim’s House may live in the home for only $50 per week for the first 90 days. During their 90 day stay, volunteer staff assists the residents with job search skills and life skills training to ensure their successful reintegration into society. Residents that find employment within 90 days are able to continue living in the home for up to 1 year at a program fee rate of $75 per week. Kim’s House is currently a home to six homeless women in recovery.
To qualify, women must have a desire to enhance their lives. Clients in the program must also agree to complete a case management plan for self-sufficiency. This plan requires participants to work and/or attend life skills classes, job training programs and also requires participants to volunteer in the community. The goal is move participants to self-sufficiency within 6 months to 1 year. It can be done for our motto is “Yes She Can”
